Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Laser Genesis

Laser skin rejuvenation is one of the most popular new advances in cosmetic skin treatments. We use Cutera Laser Genesis non-invasive laser technology to safely, discretely and effectively treat fine-line wrinkles, and diffuse excessive redness and scars. It can also treat large pores and uneven skin texture, and has been proven to stimulate youth-enhancing collagen growth.

You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects such as bruising or excessive skin irritation. Treatments can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of topical anesthetics or gel.

While every patient’s needs vary, optimal results are often achieved with around four to six treatments that typically take 10 to 30 minutes each, depending on the amount of skin treated. Laser Genesis is a safe, painless experience that requires no downtime. It generally causes no side effects other than occasional slight flushing of the skin for a few hours after treatment.

Sun & Age Spot Removal - IPL

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is an innovative way to quickly, safely remove sun and age spots from your face, chest, arms, and hands, without gel or anesthetic cream. The signs of sun damage will fade away after 3-5 treatments, leaving you with clearer, younger looking skin.

Virtually any part of your body with sun and age spots or freckles can be safely treated. The face, chest, shoulders, and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have typically had the most sun exposure. Both discrete spots and skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment. The visible light delivered by the hand-piece is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots on your skin. It’s the heating of the pigmented cells that causes the therapeutic effect.

Perhaps you're asking yourself "What will the treatment will be like?" When the hand piece is placed on your skin, it will feel cool and comfortable. When the pulse of light is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief pinching sensation. The actual treatment will only take a few minutes. And, since there is no need to apply any topical anesthetic, your total appointment time can easily fit into your lunch hour. Typically, 1 or 2 treatments are sufficient to see dramatic results while additional treatments may be required for very large or dark spots or for densely covered areas.

Laser Aesthetics uses the Cutera Limelight/IPL system, which is FDA approved after being rigorously tested in clinical studies. The pulsed light hand piece is designed to treat only targeted pigment, not the surrounding skin or tissue, which makes safer than other treatments! Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may notice a slight reddening of the surrounding skin. This typically subsides within a couple of hours. Over the course of the next 1-to-3 weeks, darkened spots will fade and flake off. Consult with our specialist for complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.

PSA: Remember to liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots.

Skin Tightening with Cutera Titan

Skin tightening from Laser Aesthetics is used on all skin types to tighten the skin and reverse the signs of aging and treat sagging.

Specifically, we perform skin tightening on wrinkled skin throughout the body, including the face, neck, abdomen, thighs and underarms. We use the Cutera Titan laser to heat the deep dermis well below the skin’s surface. This stimulates long-term collagen re-building that gives our patients younger looking skin. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan handpiece.

A series of 3 treatments that take about an hour each will produce optimal results for most patients. Virtually no downtime is why Titan skin tightening is often referred to as the “lunch-hour facelift.” Improvements in skin are noticeable right away, but the most significant results occur 3-4 weeks after treatment.
